When it comes to setting goals, there’s really no right or wrong way to do it. No matter how you decide to set monthly goals, we’re here to help you achieve them.

Grab your planner and let’s dive into how to create a monthly goal setting routine to ensure you achieve your goals throughout the year.

1. Use your planner

Open up your planner at the start of each month and use the assigned sections to write down your goals, habits, rituals and routines, and to-do’s for the month. Just the practice of creating new goals for yourself every month will help add new energy and excitement to your life. But if you also get in the habit of writing down your monthly goals every month, and consistently taking action towards achieving them, your success is inevitable!

2. Set your monthly goals

It’s been proven that people who write down their goals are at least 10 times more successful than those who don’t. If you really want to take action on your goals, and turn them from dreams into reality, then you need to break them down into smaller, more actionable goals. By having smaller monthly goals, you’ll be less overwhelmed and more likely to achieve everything on your list in a shorter amount of time.

3. Create your habits

If you’re serious about achieving your goals, commit to tracking them. Using a habit tracker is an effective tool to track your goal progress and hold yourself accountable. Start by asking yourself, “What can I do this month to get you closer to that goal?” and “What can I do each day to remain accountable to my plans?” Add those things to your habit tracker and you’ll be on the path to success.

4. Take time to reflect

At the end of each month, it’s time to reflect on your goals and habits. Reflection is an important tool for growth and will help you make progress towards your goals. Simply take 10 minutes to reflect on your goals at the end of each month and ask yourself: What went well? What am I proud of? How could I improve? What am I grateful for?
