This season, she aims to expand her vision for the company by introducing BÜTIQ, a curated collection of timeless, quality products that promote intentional living. Our first launch phase includes beauty products that are all 100% natural. At BÜTIQ, we’ve thoughtfully created a highly curated collection of clean, simple and essential beauty products that will change the way you get ready every day—it all starts with your skin. My name is Katie and I am one of the content creators, photographers and social strategists here at STIL. I had a chance last week to sit down with Marissa over tea and ask her a few questions about the new line to give you all an insider perspective and preview of what’s to come. Introducing BÜTIQ: Interview with Marissa Cristina

 K // What inspired you to introduce a curated collection to the STIL brand?

M // It’s really a natural progression for us. Our brand has been expanding over the last few months and we wanted to build on that by introducing other products that complement our everyday organizational tools. Essentially, we’re introducing the STIL lifestyle. We want to provide our customers with the tools to live a more minimal, clean life in home, travel, beauty and at work.


K // What’s the story behind the name?

M // The name BÜTIQ stems from the word butik, which, directly translated, means “store” in Swedish. I chose that name because I wanted something that signified, very simply, what we are trying to do. We are opening a curated store that will feature products from brands we admire, offering a more complete STIL lifestyle.


K // What kind of products will BÜTIQ feature?

M // You can expect to see products for home, office, travel, beauty and maybe even fashion down the road. Our primary focus is creating a good home and overall life experience with products that are sourced from Europe and made with love. All the items we sell are well-made and use all-natural ingredients or fibres. We are launching BÜTIQ with a line of 100% natural beauty products and will be adding a home goods collection soon after - you’ll love our 100% lambs wool blankets and hand-printed pillows. Our products will be stocked in very limited quantities so once we sell out of an item, they will be gone for good. This allows our customers to grab products that are exclusive and unique.


K // What goes into the curation process?

M // Curating BÜTIQ has been a very personal, involved process. I actually traveled to Europe twice last year, which gave me a chance to visit a lot of brands and collect ideas. Some of those brands will be stocked this month! I also source products via Instagram - naturally! The team has done a lot of research to find companies that align with our vision of minimalism and prioritize design. I really can't wait to launch it. 


K // What new product are you most excited about and why?

M // I am actually most excited about our new planner, but that is an entirely different story for later! For BÜTIQ, I can’t wait to share the soaps and blankets we are bringing in. I have never come across products that are so simple and so well-crafted. I’ve also recently been informed that the soap company we collaborated with is in the process of making an all-natural skincare line that I can’t wait to bring on board as well.
