Meet the Mothers of STIL
April 30, 2020
We love that we set aside an entire day to honour the women in our lives who raised us. Our mothers are strong, resilient, and selfless and did everything in their power to instil this within us. Mother’s Day holds a special place in our hearts because it reminds us to celebrate the most challenging and rewarding job of all – being a mom.
"Motherhood to me, means holding the hand of a person who holds my heart in their hands. It is understanding the feeling of unconditional love." – Amanda Breen
So today we wanted to sit down and celebrate the mothers of STIL, encourage you to share your stories, and reflect on some of the challenges and triumphs that come along with motherhood.
When we think about the amazing moms around us, we think about our mothers, our sisters, our friends, neighbours and those in our community. We asked a few of the amazing women in our own community at STIL to answer what it means to be a mother and what makes them feel organized and empowered to do so.
Here’s what they had to say:

Motherhood to me, means holding the hand of a person who holds my heart in their hands. It is understanding the feeling of unconditional love. It is knowing you are their safe place. It is the feeling of being on the verge of tears from being tested. It is the pressure of helping raise a good human. It is navigating this new chapter in your life that comes with so much change and growth. That is motherhood to me.
I was gifted the STIL Daily Journal by a friend and love 2 things about it: it lays flat when it's open and it's so professional looking. A clean and simple product like this makes me feel confident at work and when you're a Mom coming back from a Mat leave, that's important! The journal is a necessity in my work bag and accompanies me on meetings and client calls. I just ordered the Get It Done Planner and I can't wait for it to arrive!

For me being a mother means being there to guide and support my girls, to let them make their own mistakes and learn from them and catch them when the fall. It is one of the most challenging and rewarding jobs I have every had.
At our house, especially during quarantine, the Pasta Markers we bought from STIL help us stay organized. Colour-coding everyones schedules on the calendar makes it really easy to see who needs to be on a video call or pick up toilet paper when!
Whether you’re a mom, a daughter, or a sister, we hope this mother’s day makes you feel loved, appreciated and celebrated. For those looking for the perfect gift this mother’s day, we put together a Mother’s Day Bundle including our Daily Journal and Throw by One Wednesday to inspire you or mom to take a few moments to embrace your life, yourself, and the ones you love.

It's time I re-introduce myself
My name is Marissa and I started STIL with the intention of creating a planner that worked for me, organized my life and fit my lifestyle. As a self-proclaimed pen-to-paper girl with a background in design, I found myself in 2014 on the hunt for a planner that looked professional, fit my style, and was highly functional and now here we are 7 years later.
Six ways to reduce your anxiety
We know what it feels like to be overwhelmed with life. Now more than ever it’s important to prioritize your mental health. If you’ve experienced either only mild, or severe, anxiety there are habits you can create that work towards a calmer mind.
Let's do some manifesting
We're always trying to find ways to re-inspire and reinvigorate you and your planning journey. So as we are approach the six month mark of 2021 (WOA) we thought we would help you channel some positivity into the next six months of the year through manifestation. This principle is similar to the law of attraction where a negative thought will produce a negative outcome and positive thought a positive one.
