STIL IRL: Domunique La’Shay

Since the beginning, we've been a company by women for women. Over the years, we've helped so many amazing women be their best, organized selves. To continue to inspire you to take charge of your busy days and social lives, we wanted to introduce some of the women in our community who are taking action.
We caught up with Domunique, a communications manager and freelance writer in Vancouver, BC. Let's see how she's using a few of our STIL products to get sh*t done and bring her closer to her ultimate vision and goals!

Name: Domunique La’Shay
Occupation: Full Time Communications Manager & Part Time Freelance Writer
Since I work as a communications manager as well as a freelance writer, I am constantly juggling multiple deadlines, assignments, commitments and schedules. I spend most of the day constantly switching between my work laptop, personal laptop, work phone and my personal phone as needed. I have always struggled to find an organization system that works well enough to help me keep up with all the things I have to do each day. In the past I used various Google Sheet templates for everything from monitoring my health and fitness goals, my daily schedule, my to do list, to my finances. But I found that constantly trying to update multiple sheets and create and recreate more tracking templates was much more time consuming rather than effective and not a sustainable organization strategy for me.
My STIL planners and journals have solved all of these issues for me. Using STIL products has not only brought much needed structure to my life but has helped me improve my daily productivity as well as reach my health and wellness goals. Each morning, after making myself a cup of coffee, I sit down at my desk and start filling out my Wellness Planner. I start by reviewing and inputting information from the previous day in the ‘Weekly Wellness Tracker’ section and then I set my intentions and goals for the upcoming day. After finishing updating my Wellness Planner, I switch in to work mode and use my Six Month Planner to create my to do list for the day.
The Wellness Planner
Along my health and wellness journey, I have found it useful to set SMART health and wellness goals to help me first improve and then maintain my desired lifestyle. Setting goals and tracking those goals using my STIL Wellness Planner helped me learn what changes are working well for me so I can see my progress. It has also allowed me to swap previous toxic lifestyle habits for healthier, positive ones. Having a planner dedicated to my health and wellness saves me valuable time and energy on trying to create my own tracking system and allows me to stay focused on taking the actual steps every day to get and stay healthy and well. It also is great to have all of my health and wellness information in one accessible place that I can throw in my bag and easily bring with me anywhere - especially to the doctors office!
The Six Month Planner
I start my work day by checking my ‘day job’ schedule and freelance schedule and evaluating my priorities for the day. After doing so, I use my Six Month Planner to outline my to dos as well as input my morning/daytime/evenings meetings and commitments. At the end of each day I make sure to take time to write down 3 things I am grateful for and transfer over any to dos I didn't manage to complete that day to the next day. My Six Month Planner is definitely an essential item for me and I make sure to never leave the house without it!
