A Whole Mood
I'm the type of person who often wears all black everything, so the LBN matches my aesthetic very well. I love that the dots in the dotted version are more spaced apart than other dotted notebooks you find. It makes the pages look a lot cleaner overall. The quality of the paper used in them is also top-notch. When bullet journaling, I like to draw out my pages with a 0.7mm or larger tip gel pen, and those tend to bleed. But the thickness of the paper prevents that. I have 5 LBN's because I received a few additional ones in mystery boxes and I am not even mad about that haha. I was actually quite excited to see extras in my mystery boxes.
New Holy Grail Notebook
I bounced around notebooks (Moleskin, Leuchtturm) before checking out STIL. I get everything I need with the LBN for a much better price point - plus I get to support a local, female-owned and operated business (and for what it's worth - whose workers are hardworking, creative, and so kind!!). The dotted layout is perfect for me who loves writing/sketching everything down but needs freedom from overly structured layouts. Perfect for my lazy bullet-journaling. The little bar at the top that lets you know pages are running low is just a delight. The ribbon is perfect for keeping my place and the whole thing lays flat like a dream. I get mine monogrammed every time because why not? The black edges on the pages is a unique touch, but tbh I wouldn't be mad if you ever made a gold edition!! My only suggestion: a STIL compatible sticker divider thing as I personally dog-ear lots of my pages to refer back to them. Page numbers would be great also! If only the coil notebooks came in the dotted layout, then all of my stationary dreams would come true!! :)
This notebook is beautiful! Such a great stylish addition for both personal and professional use.
Professional and Pretty
I love the LBN! I think it's hard to find nice looking notebooks to carry around with you in a work setting. I know I personally use my notebooks to scribble anything and everything down because if I don't I won't remember it. But the good thing about the notebook is that even though I am just putting all of my random thoughts and to-do's in the notebook at least they're not on a million sticky notes and I can carry it around with confidence.
A Workspace Essential
An excellent container for all half-scrabbled ideas, inspirations, and artistic spoutings. I sometimes feel as if all my life’s work has come to fruition on these pages. Incredibly durable, strong, and versatile. My only qualm is the unfortunate fact that this journal is addicted to getting itself lost. I haven’t been sure how to address the problem. It’s like having a toddler in the house, always getting into shenanigans and making my heart drop with fear every two minutes. What’s the point of spilling all my greatest ideas onto these precious pages if they’re only going to run away to the last cafe I was at, fall underneath my car seats, or hide in the same place I’ve already looked twelve times? Any advice would be much appreciated. (Did you really think it would be this simple? You might have missed a major clue. Go find the facebook pimple - now you’ll know what to do.)
