Setting Intentions for the Final Quarter in 3 Easy Steps

2021 planner / yearly agenda / undated monthly, daily and weekly day timer / 2021 organization calendar planner design / fall / success / 2021

It’s that time of year again. Fall is upon us and before we know it, the holiday season will be in full swing. The final quarter of the year is a busy time for most people. This is the time to start thinking about the setting intentions. So how do you use this time to your advantage? Let’s dive into a few ways you can crush the remainder of 2020 and prepare yourself for 2021.

BREAK DOWN YOUR TO-DO LIST

Writing down all of your tasks is a good place to start. Whether you use a notebook, journal, or your favourite planner, writing things down on paper will help get them out of your head and in front of your eyes. This way, you can clearly see what you need to do.

We recommend ditching the daily lists, and sorting all of your tasks into each month using something like our Get It Done Planner. This will help you see the big picture so you can determine what needs to be done now and what can wait until later. Feels better already, doesn’t it?

REFLECT ON HOW FAR YOU’VE COME

It’s been a whirlwind of a year to say the least. It’s time to pull out those old planners and notes you created at the start of the year and have a hard look at what you wanted to achieve. What were the goals you created for yourself? How many goals have you met? How many goals have you given up on? It’s okay for things to have changed over the past three quarters.

Now take a look at the results and reflect on how far you’ve come. Maybe you didn’t get to go to the gym three days a week, but you did start using your Wellness Planner and feel really confident in your own skin for the first time. Both successes and failures help us become who we are.

CREATE NEW GOALS

Last, but not least, think about your new goals. Armed with your trusty planner, list out what you’d like to accomplish based on the insight you’ve created. Maybe it’s time to revisit past goals with a new perspective, or perhaps you want to create new entirely new ones.

At this point, you should have a pretty good idea of what the next three months will look like. Setting intentions for this final quarter will not only keep you motivated, but also help you connect to yourself in the process. Our 2021 Planner is a great way to set yourself up for success in the new year.

We hope you enjoyed these little tips and that you have a joyful fall! We’d love to hear about your end-of-year planning and how you prepare for the new year.
